Turquoise Speckled Butter Bell

Wheel thrown speckled stoneware butter bell glazed turquoise. Butter is packed into the lid and water sits in the bottom of the container to keep the butter from going bad. Butter stays good for 3 weeks. No need to refrigerate your butter anymore!!!

Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.

Wheel thrown, hand trimmed, bisque fired, dipped in lead-free glaze, and fired to 2167 F. Every piece is unique. There are small variations in each tumbler, because they are handmade.

How to use a Butter Bell

  1. Fill the “bell” (top piece) with softened butter, pressing out air pockets.

  2. Put water in the base of the crock (bottom piece). Make sure the water is touching the butter in the bell to seal the butter from the air.

  3. Put the lid on the crock

  4. Change the water every 2-4 days.

  5. Change the butter out of the bell after 30 days.
